170 – The Dandy Warhols – Bohemian Like You (2000)
Written by Courtney Taylor-Taylor
Produced by Dave Sardy, Courtney Taylor-Taylor and Gregg Williams
Label – Capitol/Parlophone

Still one of the best riffs Keith Richards/Chuck Berry never came up with, “Bohemian Like You” felt like THE song for both new generation and Millennium. From working at a vegan restaurant, casual hookups and inconvenient roommates, it had all the irony of either mocking or praising the laid back hipsters that bought into it. Its longevity is all down to finding the millennial’s pulse with one of the catchiest songs of the decade and beyond.

  1. A band that I liked for a while and I really liked this track, though it ended up being overplayed to the point I just can’t listen to it anymore. Still a great song, though.

  2. Damm. How did I miss this? So funny that we were writing about this same song within a couple weeks of each other.
