Hackskeptic’s 500 Greatest Songs: Oasis – Champagne Supernova

200 – Oasis – Champagne Supernova (1996)
Written by Noel Gallagher
Produced by Owen Morris and Noel Gallagher
Label – Creation

One thing for sure, for all the detractors, Noel Gallagher could come up with an epic of “Hey Jude” proportions every once in a while. Almost everything was borrowed from The Beatles and the Stones, but let’s be honest; if you’re going to pilfer, you may as well choose the best. Anthemic, nonsensical, crucial, blissed out, flag waving, one could choose hundreds of adjectives to describe it, but the bottom line is it’s still an outstanding song.

    • I know it’s on of their most popular live songs for a reason . I was never completely sold on Oasis but they occasionally produce some great tunes.
