Fame Beckoned/The Nearly Men: Chad Channing/Nirvana

Santa Rosa CA native Chad Channing was the drummer with Nirvana between 1988 and 1990. He would appear on the band’s debut long player “Bleach”, and toured up until April 1990. By this time, both guitarist Kurt Cobain and bassist Krist Novoselic had become dis-enchanted with Channing’s playing, and the sticks man was disappointed that he was not involved in the song writing process. Soon after, he left to eventually be replaced by Dave Grohl.
