Some artists had a long wait before they got their turn in the spotlight.

Gray’s first three albums and five singles released between 1993 and 1996 all failed to chart. A switch to his third record label(ATO/RCA)in 1998 and the subsequent long player “White Ladder” would finally bring recognition to a slowly building audience. The following year, “Babylon” charted in the UK top ten in July 1999, a full six years after his first release.
