Graham Coxon – Freakin’ Out (2004)
Written by Graham Coxon
Produced by Stephen Street
Label – Parlophone

With a killer riff that harks back to The Skids “Into The Valley”, Coxon delivers a frenetic, balls ‘n all rocker that compliments its title perfectly. Whilst his cohort, Damon Albarn was experimenting with dance beats and cartoon images, there’s a comfort in the simplicity, gusto and energy of this devastating single. Unnerving, probably dumb, but essential nonetheless.
