It seems logical that a band originally called Glass Onion would welcome an opinion from a former Beatle. The song, originally deemed too soft for release had been hanging around, unfinished for a couple of years. According to legend, whilst performing on a UK music show the band met up with Paul McCartney and played the song to him, receiving immediate approval. It is also rumored that Sir Paul provided assistance in completing the song, although his name has never appeared on the songwriting credits. Nevermind Paul, your influence is still deeply ingrained in this gloriously uplifting tune.
