334 – Stereophonics – Dakota (2005)
Written by Kelly Jones
Produced by Kelly Jones and Jim Lowe
Label – V2

Stereophonics are generally pretty hit and miss, but “Dakota” is the song that many fans regard as their best moment. Having trundled along with slow tempo acoustic meandering for a couple of years, 2005 bought a refreshed Kelly Jones and significantly a new drummer, Javier Weyler to replace the drink addled Stuart Cable. Explosive energy, a classic melody, and Jones’ unique rasp make this one of the best driving songs you’ll ever hear.
