When bass guitarist Michael Enevoldsen left another popular Danish death metal band Illdisposed, he immediately formed Panzerchrist who have recorded seven studio albums. The original vocalist was the acclaimed Danish artist Lasse Hoile.

Formed 1991: Notodden, Telemark Norway

One of the most infamous bands of the Norwegian black metal scene. In 1992, drummer Faust murdered a man in Lillehammer, and in 1994 guitarist Samoth was sentenced to 16 months in prison for burning the Skjold Church in Vindafjord.
