356 – Smashing Pumpkins – 1979 (1996)
Written by Billy Corgan
Produced by Flood, Alan Moulder and Billy Corgan
Label – Virgin

Initially rejected by producer Flood whilst in demo format, Billy Corgan polished the song into something more presentable and as a result it became the final addition to the well received “Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness” album. A drifting mid tempo backing and that unmistakeable vocal loop that drives the song, it’s an anthem to the “x” generation and that tricky period of limbo between childhood and adulthood.
