From the loose concept album “Maybe You’ve Been Brainwashed Too” which explored apathy in modern society, singer songwriter Gregg Alexander managed to produce two superb singles. The sad love song “Someday We’ll Know” and this booming soul pop creation. U2 guitarist The Edge stated that it was the song he was most jealous of, saying “I really would have loved to have written that one”. Joni Mitchell said “it rises from the swamp of Mcmusic like a flower of hope”, and Ice-T said this was the only non-related to rap and hip hop music he listened to. Such diverse positivity only serves to prove its impact.
