374 – Creedence Clearwater Revival – Bad Moon Rising (1969)
Written by John Fogerty
Produced by John Fogerty
Label – Fantasy

Ironically, legend has it that John Fogerty wrote this dark, dread fuelled classic on the day that Richard Nixon was elected President of The United States. However, his influence for the song came from the 1941 fantasy movie “The Devil And Daniel Webster”. He claims the song is about “the apocalypse that was going to be visited upon us”. Nevertheless, both British and U.S. fans approved and the song reached number 1 & 2 in both singles charts.
