The most famous house husband of the 70s celebrates a life away from the industry in this moving piano ballad. Lennon was at his most self assured, fulfilled, and the lines, particularly the pronounced “I just had to let it go”, feel like the words of a man free of his shackles, ready to face the world on his own terms. The real tragedy is that this outstanding song was released posthumously.

Hi Hackskeptic – Lennon’s best career move post Beatles happened in 1980. I didnt want him to die, but his death made all his post-fab-4 stuff respectable. i didnt like it, still don’t, so just a straight 40/100….
